Details
This 1970 Plymouth Superbird is powered by a 440/375hp Super Commando engine. The Plymouth Superbird was created from homologated components that brought Richard Petty back from Ford. NASCAR regulations demanded higher productions numbers – one for every two manufacturer’s dealers in the U.S. This 1970 Plymouth Superbird was built at the Lynch Road assembly plant on November 30, 1969. It was finished in high-impact EV2 TorRed paint with a black vinyl top and interior. The 375hp Super Commando engine is backed by an A727 TorqueFlite D32-code heavy-duty automatic transmission and a 3.55 Sure Grip differential. This restored Superbird has been kept in a museum-like setting by the current owner and is roadworthy.
