This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429 re-creation is dressed in Ford's Callypso Coral base coat/clear coat paint and Corinthian White interior. Billup's Classic Cars built this 1970 Fastback Mustang and added a correct set of Boss 429 shock towers to accommodate the massive 466ci HEMI Boss engine. The engine is a DOVE 4-bolt main SCJ block with a 460 crank topped with a set of John Kaase Boss 429 heads and a compression ratio of 9.8:1, making the car very streetable. The engine is also outfitted with a hydraulic roller competition cam and custom complete roller valve train. The exhaust flows through a set of custom-built ceramic coated FPA headers. The engine made 699hp at 6300 rpm and 623 ft/lbs of torque at 5300 rpm. The engine is backed by a TREMEC TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission with a McLeod RST dual-disc clutch turning a Quick Performance 9' Moser rear end with 31-spline axles and a 3.91 track back gear set. The car also features Cal-Trac leaf springs and bars, Hotchkis shocks, Randals Rack power rack & pinion steering, Ididit tilt steering column, Global West front suspension and subframe connectors, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, CVF front runner kit, Vintage Air, smoked glass and a Be Cool aluminum radiator with electric fans. The car sits on a set of 17' legendary Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with a set of BFGoodrich Sport Comp radial tires. This Boss 429 re-creation is a beast on the street or at the track and still has all the modern comforts to make it a pleasure to drive to any cruise or show.
