According to this car's Marti Report, of the 191,522 Mustangs, 46,576 had sports roofs. Of those, 7,014 came with 302-4v Boss engines. 2,407 of those had wide-ratio 4-speed transmissions. 134 of them were painted Bright Gold Metallic, of which 16 had black décor bucket seats. Of those, seven were equipped with 3.50 Traction-Loc rear axles. Four of them came with Magnum 500 chrome wheels. Of these, three where produced with tachometers. One of these had sport slats. Mustang. After inspecting the body and all of the parts, the body was completely stripped of all paint. The engine was replaced with a new Ford racing Boss block. The original heads were gone through. The body was then put on a rotisserie. The underside was refinished with the red oxide color primer that it had come from the factory with. It was painted with the correct code K bright metallic basecoat with a urethane clear coat applied. The front suspension control arms were replaced, and new front and rear shocks were installed. It also has new Goodyear Polyester tires mounted on new Magnum 500 wheels. New bumpers were installed using the original brackets. All of the brakes on the Boss have been replaced with new brake shoes on the rear, and the front brakes are new. Windshield is the correct date-coded W/S. The correct date-coded alternator was found and installed. All the hoses are correct for this Boss. The Shaker assembly was restored to new condition. Correct decals and manufacture tags were installed throughout and the interior has been reconditioned. Engine has new pistons and completely rebuilt with dyno video and sheets. Car has a new Ford Racing 302 block, crankshaft, camshaft, and lifters. Heads, intake and exhaust manifold, carburetor are original. Old original block included as well as engine dyno video.
