Details
This 1970 Dodge Charger Resto-Mod known as 'Hellfire' was freshly unveiled at SEMA 2023 as the centerpiece at the Lexani Tire booth. It is powered by a 707hp supercharged 6.2-liter SRT Hellcat engine with a clean wire tuck installation and gold heat-reflecting foil. The complete swap was completed by utilizing all Holley parts and a set of Hooker long-tube headers that connect to a 3-inch exhaust. The ZF 8-speed automatic transmission with functioning paddle shifters puts the power down with a
custom Driveshaft Pro driveline and a freshly built 8.75-inch Chrysler LSD Sure-Grip rear end. The fuel delivery is handled by a powerful FiTech in-tank fuel pump, steel braided fuel lines and a brand-new fuel-injection tank. The suspension was upgraded with a complete RideTech air-leveling kit that utilizes upgraded front upper control arms and a 4-link rear end controlled by their RidePro E5, as well as a 5-gallon tank and dual compressors. It allows fully customizable control of ride height and dampening. Ride height can be controlled via a handheld digital screen or through RideTech's Bluetooth phone app. The car rides on a custom set of 22-inch AC-forged 3-piece wheels. Stopping power comes from power-assisted Wilwood 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston units in back clamping on huge 14-inch 2-piece brake rotors. The body of the car was widened by 3 inches by utilizing complete metal quarter-panels that were molded to retain the original body lines. Once the body was just right, it was sprayed with a custom mix of House of Kolor Kandy Apple Red. It changes tones depending on the amount of ambient light. The roof (rather than the original vinyl top) has now been covered with hand-laid real carbon fiber, which was also tinted Kandy Apple Red. The interior of this Charger blends the dash screen and the factory SRT screen of a modern Hellcat Challenger. A lot of attention was placed on retaining as many SRT factory modern electronic features as possible. The 8-inch SRT touchscreen displays performance gauges and retains all the audio and Bluetooth connectivity features. It powers a Kenwood eXcelon sound system that has two 6.5-inch front door speakers, two 6x9-inch rear tray speakers and three powerful 10-inch subwoofers that are housed in the trunk. The racing-style seats have been wrapped in Saddle Brown leather with Bentley-style double-diamond stitching and black suede, matching complementing the black and brown theme.
