Sold new by Carol Buick in Evanston, IL, this 1970 Buick GS 455 Stage 1 convertible is powered by its matching-numbers 455ci V8 engine paired with its matching-numbers Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished in its factory original Fire Red exterior color (Code 75) with a white power convertible top, it is equipped with factory air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, and factory black bucket seats and center console. According to the official records maintained by the Sloan Museum, Buick manufactured a total of 1,416 1970 GS 455 convertibles at three different plants.
