This car is one of only 14 Ram Air IV GTO Convertibles built with Turbo-Hydramatic transmission and 3.90:1 Safe-T-Track rear axle. Additionally, the Ram Air IV engine package was grossly underrated at 366 horsepower. This car was built on March 20, 1969, at the Baltimore Assembly Plant and then shipped to Canada, where it remained for many years prior to the current owner purchasing and restoring. The complete frame-off restoration was performed by Barnes Restorations. The car was completely
disassembled for restoration. A fresh coat of the correct Starlight Black paint (Code 10) was applied. The black bucket seat interior and white convertible top were redone by Carolina Trim. The Ram Air IV engine and all components were disassembled and rebuilt to factory specs, along with the other components in the drivetrain. Everything on this vehicle has been restored, dated and detailed exactly as it was produced by Pontiac. In 2014, this GTO was concours-judged at the GTOAA National Convention and scored 670 out of 700 points. It received the Concours Gold award for excellence. This is an exceptional automobile and would be a welcome addition to any car collection. It comes with a complete set of the PHS paperwork, award information and Pontiac Division Window Sticker.
