Details
This unique Camaro was completely fabricated and customized from the front to the rear, and the inside to the underside. It was purpose-built to achieve certain performance levels and aesthetics. This distinctive show car was featured in the 2016 SEMA show. It started as a Camaro SS, then the body was unbolted from the factory chassis and the body was set on a jig. Now, the car is Pro-Touring and about the only remaining stock and original parts are the body panels, as every other component has
been replaced, modified and custom-built. It’s powered by a Turbonetics twin-turbo LS3 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 652 rwhp and features a high-lift camshaft and valve springs, powder-coated black Holley Sniper anodized fuel rails and K&N filter element. The car currently has a very conservative tune with 15 degrees of timing and 8 psi of boost which is generating 652 rwhp. It could be tuned to reach increased horsepower on 93 octane pump gas, which would require re-tuning the ECU from to 15 to 18 degrees of ignition timing and increasing the boost to 16-18 psi by changing the wastegate spring. The engine is paired to a T56 6-speed manual transmission with a Z06 hydraulic clutch. Custom hand-crafted headers and multiple other mechanical modifications, including hand-crafted header flanges with 1.750 runners, CNC billet 304 SS, custom stainless-steel fuel tank with electric fuel pump system and Turbonetics TNX billet compressor. A Bosch water pump for the intercooler sends the water to the intake, then returns off the back of the intake and routes to the front of the car to a mini radiator with a 7-inch electric fan, then to the anodized tank. It also features a March Performance serpentine belt, Griffin aluminum radiator and black braided hoses. The valve covers had the lugs milled off, welded the voids, placed 10 bung for ventilation. Some of these modifications include Detroit Speed tubular A-arms, Hotchkis 1-inch sway bar, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and calipers, Currie 9-inch mini-tub rear end with Moser 33-spline axles and powder-coated undercarriage. The undercarriage is non-factory with custom-fabricated and color-matched components. A custom air-ride suspension with Firestone airbags and custom brackets to accommodate the larger rear tires was installed. It features shaved door handles, custom LED side marker lights, billet hood hinges, flush-mounted front and rear bumpers and 5% visibility window tint on all glass. The interior includes custom trimmed, stitched and perforated leather door panels and seats, kick and rear panels, rear bucket seats, leather headliner and leather-wrapped dash pad. This Camaro has a push-button start, black AutoMeter gauges with red numbers and red LED lighting, and a 1500-watt JL Audio system. It rides on custom Colorado wheels with Michelin tires.
