Built at Ford’s San Jose, CA, assembly plant and then shipped to Shelby America, where it was completed to GT500 standards on June 19, 1967. Wearing Candy Apple Red paint over black upholstery, it is equipped with factory air conditioning, a not-often-seen feature that necessitated the addition of an oil cooler. The car’s second owner, a noted Shelby expert who owned the GT500 for more than 20 years, directed a concours-quality restoration that was completed in 2008, which saw the car restored to its original specifications.
