Details
This 1966 Shelby GT350-H started life as a true Hertz Rent-a-Racer before being sold and used in hill climb and other racing events in period. It was more recently restored into a Group B vintage SCCA race car, competing in various events, including multiple Rolex Monterey Motorsport reunion races and the Sonoma Festival of Speed. The 289ci V8 engine is fully built under Group B specifications and tuned for 110 octane racing fuel, with a full roll cage and fuel cell, racing and correct-period Shelby gauges, and an Accusump system. Additionally, this race car has all of its lights and turn signals functioning, and is currently tagged, titled and street-driven as well. Included is this Shelby's racing logbook, build documentation, period photos 'as found' before the Group B build and restoration, and recent racing photos, along with full ownership history dating back to 1968. From the Tyler Hoover Collection.
