Description
This '66 Cyclone convertible is one of 100 built to commemorate the 1966 Indianapolis 500 official pace car. The all-new Cyclone GT was a genuine muscle car worthy of pace car honors. This restored example sports Candy Apple Red paint adorned with white official pace car graphics, Parchment bucket seats common to all pace car editions, and a power convertible top and boot. It's powered by a 390/335hp big-block engine outfitted with a chrome dress-up kit backed by a C6 Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission with 1-2-D sport shift allowing for manual shifting between gears, and a standard 3:25 anti-spin differential. In addition to the twin-scooped fiberglass hood, white sill stripes and GT fender badging, the GT offers red line tires on chrome styled wheels, power steering, and special handling package. Also included are reproduction flags on the brackets at the rear bumper.
One of 100 built to commemorate the Memorial Day Indianapolis 500 pace car. Restoration completed in 2008 with limited mileage since. Powered by a 390ci big-block engine putting out 335hp paired to a C6 Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission.
