Details
This 1965 Performance A-Group Barracuda is powered by an upgraded Mopar 318ci engine that was bored 0.04 over to 324ci, custom-balanced and fitted with a moderately aggressive cam, and backed by automatic transmission. The original 273 engine’s closed chamber heads, manifold, rocker arms and carburetor were retained with custom push-rods made to accommodate the adjustable rockers. It has upgraded Hughes Engine pistons and cams, and it a compression of 9.6:1 with a forged crank from a 1967 Fury. It has a 2-3/4' single exhaust with an Accelerator muffler, and a custom rectangular steel resonator patterned after the original.
