Details

This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette custom Pro-Touring Resto-Mod nicknamed 'The Sting' underwent a comprehensive restoration mixing the classic lines of the beautiful Stingray Corvette with all the modern luxury muscle car components. The engine is a ground-pounding professionally built crate 383 stroker fuel-injected V8 with hydraulic roller motor, one-piece main, 4-bolt and Dart Competition Aluminum Pro-1 Platinum 72cc heads. This incredible powertrain also includes March serpentine belt, TPIs Mini-Ram with Fast EFI ECM fuel-injected system and FIC 38-pound injectors and a Fast EZ self-tuning EFI Control System. Additionally, it has a FAST electronic fuel pump, MSD 8572 Tach Drive distributor and wires, and Crane Cams with Digital Multi Spark CD ignition. This incredible powertrain is complemented by a Keisler TKO 600 5-speed transmission tuned with .64 gears and a new driveline and complete Borgeson power steering assembly. The stunning interior restoration includes Vintage Air, a custom leather steering wheel and full MrMikes reclining leather seats. Stopping power is provided with 4-wheel disc brakes with a dual master, stainless lines and working e-brake. The Corvette has been beautifully finished in custom-mixed Stingray Red exterior paint complemented by the 1965 big-block hood. Suspension modifications include QA1 adjustable rear shocks, VB&P special valved KYB front shocks, Eaton 9-leaf 6/3 Progressive rear leaf spring and Moog front springs. The stance has been lowered and the car sits on new 20-inch wheels. Sounds good as the exhaust rumbles through its custom 3-inch dual side exhaust with glass packing and crossover for a deeper exhaust note. Additional specifications include Dewitts aluminum radiator, chrome 120-amp alternator, chrome brake booster, rebuilt 4.11 posi-traction rear end with Sombrero bushings, chrome AC compressor, floor insulation for quieter ride, inline fuel cooler and a rear-mounted custom sound system. The sale includes manuals and a binder of restoration receipts.
