High-performance heavyweight. This rare 1963-1/2 R-code Galaxy 500XLT was found in Colorado. It was taken to New Mexico and treated to a comprehensive and correct ground-up restoration using only original or NOS parts. It has a Ford NASCAR 427/425hp, 11.5:1 compression rated 425hp at 6,000 rpm engine, Borg Warner 4-speed and dual 780cfm 4-barrel Holley carburetors. Correct R-code wheels on 7.10x15 4-ply black tubeless tires. It has its original tachometer and original interior. Heavy-duty springs, shock absorbers, brakes, rear axle and driveshaft were all designed to improve durability. This Michigan strong-boy has acceleration that is brisk and surprising with 480 ft/lbs torque.
