Built by Hot Rod Garage in Sands Springs, OK, this custom 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window coupe is powered by a Wegner Automotive LS9 block with an LT4 crank and a Magnuson Heartbeat TVS 2300 low-profile supercharger, paired with a Bowler TREMEC T56 6-speed manual transmission with a McLeod dual-disc clutch and mated to a QA1 carbon-fiber driveshaft. A Rick's Tanks stainless fuel tank with dual ZL1 fuel pumps is fed through a VaperWorx fuel management system. Utilizing the first Art Morrison GT-Sport low chassis, the ride height is 3 inches lower than the stock C2 Corvette. The chassis utilizes a multi-link IRS system. This car has Wilwood Pro spindles, Strange Dana 3.54 gearing, Strange Dana 60 posi-traction upgraded to Eaton Tru Trac helical gears, heat-treated chassis, powder-coated Strange Ultra Series coilovers, and Wilwood SL6 6-piston front and SL4 4-piston rear brake calipers coupled with 14-inch rotors. It sits on Schott Mach-V concave 18x9 front and 20x12 rear wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport red line tires. Purchased in January 2019 in Arizona, the body was stripped to bare fiberglass and 1.5-inch flared rear quarter-panels were molded in, along with an engine bay dress-up kit hiding all wiring and hoses and smoothing out the engine bay. It is finished in multiple coats of PPG Deltron DCC9300, which were clearcoated to produce the deepest black. The undercarriage was coated with LizardSkin and the interior had heat and soundproofing added. The bumpers were cut, reshaped and tucked tight to the body. Flush-mounted custom billet wiper grilles were painted, and billet hood grilles and window trim were polished and then chromed. Additional features include Detroit Speed headlight and wiper motors, LED headlights, a C&R Racing radiator, SC intercooler, heat exchanger and an Infinity Box wiring system. The interior contains a Flaming River steering column, custom billet steering wheel, Clayton Machine Works pedal assembly, one-off designed Dakota Digital instruments, a front and rear camera system integrated into the rearview mirror, Vintage Air, RECARO seats and an Alpine sound system with programmable Bluetooth/satellite radio touchscreen that controls a hydraulic hood lift, electronic exhaust dumps and motorized wing windows. It also has power main windows and door locks operated with a key fob. The complete custom interior was CAD-designed, 3D-printed and wrapped in Moore & Giles red leather and carbon fiber. This Corvette's builder previously won the Barrett-Jackson Cup competition and was named the 2023 Goodguys Chevrolet Performance National Builder of the Year.
