Details
This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window coupe received a professional restoration and custom build by Factory Hot Rods. The build started with a clean, original factory GM body, which was rotisserie-restored and upgraded with the latest in modern technology. Its foundation is an SRIII custom round super-tube chassis with C7 Z06 Corvette suspension front and rear. It has been modified with a 2-inch stretch on the rear floor for more comfort and to accommodate taller drivers. This Corvette is
powered by a new 755hp LT5 supercharged GM Performance crate engine with a GM Performance Connect & Cruise system and a custom tune. The engine is mated to a TREMEC Magnum 6-speed manual transmission. Stopping is handled using ABS electric over hydraulic power brakes with a C7 Z06/Z51 performance brake package with HD 6-piston calipers and HD 14-inch rotors. The rear end has a Winters quick change with a 3.55 gear ratio. Other features include Viking coilovers with 18 different levels of ride control, HD Z06 sway bars, high-performance Stiletto Quick Steer power rack & pinion, ZR1 axles and hubs, and a stainless-steel fuel tank with a ZL1 pump built in. Other details include a clean engine bay painted to match the body color, filled and smoothed lower fenders, added steel support behind the seats for strength and comfort, a custom polished high-flow radiator, custom Wegner drive system, Billet Specialties steering wheel, a custom big-block Stinger hood operated by a Progressive Automations actuator, triple-plated chrome bumpers, polished stainless headers with a 3-inch side exhaust, a Vintage Air system operating off the original control knobs, Detroit Speed headlamp motors and 7-speed wiper system, power windows, custom air intake, electric parking brake, custom Classic Instruments gauges with new SkyDrive, outside mirrors with built-in turn signals and a polished tilt steering column. The exterior color is Ferrari Bianco Italia (Pearl White) over a red custom leather interior with double stitching on the dash and interior components, a custom Autosound stereo with Bluetooth, tinted LOF glass and shoulder harness belts. This Split-Window rides on Schott wheels (18x9 with 275 Nitto Performance red line tires in the front and 20x12 with 345 Nitto Performance red line tires in the rear). This fresh build was completed in 2023 and has roughly 100 test miles. The sale includes a photo album of the complete restoration/build and an owner/operator manual.
