Rare undocumented 1958 Corvette Fuelie. The 1958 Corvette included many new changes and several one year only features that make this a highly desirable automobile today. In 1958 Chevrolet built a total of 9,168 Corvettes, however only small number of the 1958 Corvettes built included the rare and expensive Fuel Injection option. In 1958 there were two Fuel Injected options available to choose from; a small 250hp option and the higher 290hp option. This vehicle has the desirable 290hp V8. Very

few car buyers were willing to spring for this costly option making the total production level low. As rare as the 1958 Fuelies were what really makes this car stand alone is the rare production exterior Panama Yellow. The Panama Yellow color was available for only one year. 1958 was the only model year between 1956 and 1964 that a yellow exterior finish was available on any corvette. Basically in nine years of total Corvette production only a very small percentage of yellow cars were even built. This Corvette has most of all the original equipment including the engine and Rochester fuel injection. The car had a complete repaint that was completed over 20 years ago and finished in the required lacquer paint.
