Details

With 3,000 man-hours, no expense spared and just over 300 miles since completion, this stunning multiple-award-winning, Eric Brockmeyer-designed Pontiac has been handcrafted to the very highest of show standards. Powered by a 572/720hp high-output crate motor, it's fitted with GM Performance polished heads, chrome intake, custom valve covers and air cleaner. It's also equipped with MSD ignition, custom 2-1/4' headers and 3' stainless exhaust, custom polished aluminum radiator with dual electric

fans and custom fuel cell, all mated to a GM 4L80E programmable 4-speed automatic transmission. It also has custom 3' balanced and polished aluminum driveshaft and Currie-built Ford 9' posi-traction rear differential with polished aluminum center, and nodular iron third member with 4:10 gears and 31-spline axles. It features a custom-built Roadster Shop full frame chassis, Heidt's Superide independent front suspension and triangulated 4-bar coilover rear suspension. Other features include the rack & pinion power steering, and Wilwood 13' 6-piston front and 11.9' 4-piston rear brakes with polished calipers. It rides on stunning staggered Schott Accelerator concave aluminum wheels accented in black velvet ceramic paint with three-bar knockoffs wrapped in P Zero Rosso tires. The laser-straight rust-free body was taken to bare metal and finished with PPG two-stage black paint with red accents. All of the exterior trim and hardware has been chrome-plated and polished to show-quality standards. The handcrafted one-off interior is finished in scar-free Italian black leather with red stitching, Flaming River tilt column with Billet Specialties Outlaw steering wheel, custom Classic Instrument gauges with tachometer and Vintage Air. Featured twice in Super Rod magazine, this spectacular 1957 Chieftain has been finished to the highest of professional standards, and its award-winning history attests to its build quality and design. The following is a partial list of awards won by this car: Goodguys Builder's Choice, Goodguys Steel Rubber Award, Goodguys Class Act Award, Best of Show Wallace, ID, Best of Show Wenatchee, WA, Best of Show Nelson, BC, Best of Show La Grande, OR, People's Choice D'Elegance Auto Show, People's Choice Bend, OR, Cool Ride Top 5 Tri-Cities Washington and Street Rodder Top 100.
