1957 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE

This custom 1957 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a 5.7-liter Chevrolet LS1 V8 engine with fuel-injection coil-on-plug ignition. This engine was fitted with a carbon-fiber engine cover that hides the wires for the modern engine management system. Backing up this engine is a TREMEC T56 6-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch that sends power to the rear wheels. This Corvette rides on C4 front and rear independent suspension, and QA1 double adjustable coilovers are fitted on all four corners. It has also been equipped with power steering. This car is finished in red with white side coves and a red interior. It rides on chrome-finished C7 Z06 wheels and has 6-piston disc brakes at all four corners, with a Wilwood booster and master cylinder under the hood. The chassis has been replaced with a unit built by Street Shop, Inc., that fits a tubular chassis. A new Stayfast canvas top has been installed with all-new hardware and framework, too. The red interior features a classic 3-spoke steering wheel and an AutoMeter speedometer, and auxiliary gauges by AutoMeter are laid out with a central tachometer that reads out to 10,000 rpm. The shift lever is longer than the original and has a bend in the middle that provides more leg room for the driver. Additionally, a modern Pioneer head unit has been installed and a Vintage Air system keeps the cabin cool.
