One of 300 produced in 1956, this '56 Chevrolet Bel Air Glass Side Sedan Delivery was the recipient of a comprehensive frame-off restoration where every portion of the sedan was carefully taken apart, fully refurbished and then professionally reassembled. The high level of craftsmanship extends beyond the deep gloss red paint finish to the custom-made two-tone interior and all the way to the fully detailed engine compartment. Powered by a late-model Chevrolet 350ci small-block V8 crate engine,

this Chevy has been treated to some performance components like the aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock electric choke carburetor, tubular headers and a dual exhaust system, just to name a few. A pack of chrome performance accessories shows off the custom features of the engine compartment. During the rebuild many suspension components were upgraded from stock to improve performance and reliability, including the power front disc brake system, power steering, and the front anti-roll bars and multi-leaf rear springs. Putting power to the ground is a modern 5-speed manual transmission and Cragar SS wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A performance tires. Inside, the custom gray-and-black cloth interior looks great with its red piping accent. The cabin is accented by Stewart Warner auxiliary gauges and a fully carpeted rear compartment area. Originally sold to the Navy Submarine base in Groton, CT, this low-production Chevrolet Resto-Mod is in great physical and mechanical condition. From the Raser Collection.
