Details
This 1955 Ford 2-door sedan was featured in the February 2008 edition of Super Rod magazine. This customized Ford maintains the period look of the car, but is as much a GM as it is a Ford. Starting with a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro subframe under the front, it's powered by a GM 350/290hp crate engine, a GM 700R4 automatic transmission and 10-bolt GM rear end from a '68 Camaro with a limited-slip 3.73 ratio. The 350ci engine is nicely trimmed out in chrome with a great-looking air cleaning housing on top. The interior is finished in a beautiful green upholstery material with matching green carpet, steering column, and stock gauges and dash knobs. It's also equipped with a Hot Rod Air system and a great sound system. A select offering from the Bryan Frank Collection.
