Description

This custom 1955 Chrysler C-300 is powered by an entirely rebuilt and upgraded 392ci FirePower HEMI V8 engine sourced from a 1957 Chrysler with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and a Hot Heads intake manifold. It's mated to a A518 automatic transmission with torque converter lockup and overdrive, sourced from a 1993 Dodge, and currently controlled with manual switches. The original transmission had no park position and the emergency brake was a band around the driveshaft. Consequently, there's no provision for cable-type emergency brakes at the rear drums, so the current driveshaft was fitted, including a floor-mounted shifter, and the rear end is modified. A power steering pump from a 1957 Chevrolet is mounted, along with a modern power brake cylinder, front disc and rear drums. The engine breathes out of stainless-steel dual exhaust. It also features all-new wiring and was converted to a 12-volt system from the original 6-volt. The body and frame were straightened, and any weak spots were corrected prior to painting in the period-correct shade of red, and the frame was painted black. This car rides on wheels sourced from a 2000s Chrysler 300 and the tires are Bridgestone all-weather tires. The interior is white with black accents, composed of Ultraleather material for the seats, doors and side panels, as well as the package tray. Along with the black dash and red carpets. LED bulbs are installed wherever possible, and a modern set of instruments are installed. The seller states there are a few blemishes in the paint that occurred during assembly, easily corrected by a professional painter. This vehicle has approximately 57 miles on the build, with about 100 hours on the engine, and it still has break-in oil. The sale includes spare parts. **TITLED AS 1955 CHRYSLER SPECON** **SOLD ON BONDED TITLE** **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
