Details
A blend of style, performance and comfort, this 1955 Chevrolet Nomad, known as Brandy, is all steel with no fillers used during its two-year build. It's powered by a ZL1 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine producing 670hp with 650 ft/lbs of torque shifted by a performance-built TR6060 6-speed manual transmission with GM Performance easy pedal clutch and a Sikky close-ratio shifter. A special Inland Empire aluminum driveshaft torsion tube is coupled to a special C5 Corvette differential. The body was metal finished with hundreds of hours to finalize the blemish-free finish using a special blend of primers, three coats of Orion Silver, five coats of Kandy Brandywine, then five coats of House of Kolor Show Clear. The body was smoothed of trim and the gas door filled and moved to an electronic taillight fill. Additionally, Kindig-It flush door handles were installed and body seams filled. The undercarriage was smoothed and painted Kandy Brandywine, an SRG one-off frame was smoothed and coated silver, a Corvette C5 front and rear suspension was installed, and special control links were installed to improve handling and cornering. The Nomad is equipped with power rack & pinion steering, Wilwood big brakes on all four corners and a specially prepared RideTech Bluetooth ride control for smooth ride. A coated one-off MagnaFlow exhaust system was built to complete the undercarriage. This custom rides on special 20x8.5 front and 22x10.5 rear Budnik GTB wheels using Michelin Pilot performance tires. The interior is done in a specialty blend 7-hide Sand-colored leather using Tea Design bucket seats in front and a split bench in the rear for seating for four or five, and features a special headliner using stainless bows. German square-weave wool carpet was applied over solid floors, which were treated with POR-15, and Dynamat Extreme was used on all interior surfaces. Additional features include Vintage Air, Bluetooth Infinity audio with six hidden speakers and 500-watt amplifier, phone charging pad, smoothed dash, custom console, Dakota Digital HDX instrumentation, Dakota Digital programmable fan controller, special cover to hide the 5-gallon air tank, two compressors, two Odyssey batteries and remote charging on the passenger side frame rail. Built by Denny's Bowtie Restorations, this build took place over two years with thousands of hours of work performed. **SOLD ON BONDED TITLE** **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
