A complete frame-off nut and bolt restoration of this 1955 custom 3100 short bed pickup was just completed. It features a custom Heidts front suspension with rack & pinion steering, a fresh 383 motor and a TH350 automatic transmission, full custom leather interior with bucket seats and a fold up center console. The billet steering wheel turns a polished tilt steering column and climate control is done with a Vintage Air unit under the dash. The power brakes were moved under the cab along with
the battery (it's in a custom stainless steel box that drops down for service) giving the firewall a very clean appearance. The rolling stock is polished aluminum 20' rims and tires. The Deep Metallic Cobalt paint is a base coat/clear coat with four layers of clear then wet sanded and polished and is featured in the engine compartment, interior, bed and of course the body. A very fun truck to drive from the Arizona desert.
