Details

This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 retains its original body that has been totally restored. It was rebuilt on a 1969 Chevrolet pickup frame with posi-traction rear end and coil spring suspension. It is equipped with 1972 Chevrolet front disc brakes with front coil suspension and has a GM power-assist power brakes system. Power comes from a GM 6.0-liter LS V8 with variable valve timing hooked to a 6-speed GM 6L80 automatic transmission that had less than 14,000 miles on both when installed. The engine is

rated with 425hp after computer modification, with Speartech wiring on GM computer. This vehicle is equipped with a Speartech floor shifter with tap shift in a custom console and an added dash-mounted air conditioner and heater. It also has an aluminum radiator, Saginaw power steering and an under-bed fuel tank with GM fuel pump. Exhaust flows through a full dual exhaust with forward catalytic converters and CO2 sensors. The interior features original gauges with Abbott converter, and a Retrosound radio system with external source capability. It rides on a set of American Racing Torq Thrust wheels with Michelin high-performance tires. The body has been equipped with new production fenders and a chrome grille in addition to bumpers, tailgate and running boards. Other highlights include power windows modified to ventless early-style windows and 6-way power black leather bucket seats from a G8 Pontiac. It is equipped with a Stephens custom black leather interior, Urethaned oak and polished stainless bed floor, and a tilt steering wheel with leather wrap. It also features electric windshield wipers and is finished in DuPont Metallic Blue with Urethane H8061. This truck has less than 1,000 miles since the restoration, and has been climate-controlled stored.
