Description

This Packard Caribbean convertible features a full-leather interior, chrome Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, power steering, power brakes, power convertible top, radio with power antenna, heater, 3-speed automatic transmission, Continental kit and a special custom paint finish. In addition, a new Carter 4-barrel carburetor was added to the Packard's venerable 327ci Thunderbolt L-head straight-8 engine. This Caribbean has been restored to its original configuration, thanks to a complete, body-off restoration by a former owner. The restoration took place over the course of about five years and was finished in 1993. Specific attention to detail was in mind during the restoration. The car was completely disassembled and brought down to the bare chassis. The body panels were stripped and prepped for paint. With originality in mind, the original color of Polaris Blue was chosen. Upon completion, the car was reassembled and the interior work began. Keeping originality in mind, the factory two-toned configuration of blue and white leather with a matching white convertible top was selected. The interior and trunk are fully carpeted, while quality matching vinyl trims the doors and side panels, wind lacing and sun visors. All inside chrome and brightwork are beautifully restored, including the pot metal garnish moldings at the top of the doors and rear panels. The windshield and all side glass on the car are in good condition, and all stainless surrounds are in nice shape. The engine starts effortlessly and runs smooth and quiet, while all other mechanical components are correct and functional. The car retains original 6-volt positive Delco ground electrics, and all gauges are reported to be in nice condition and in working order. The top and front seat are hydraulic powered. This Caribbean wears an AACA National First Prize badge from 1993.

Restored to its original configuration, complements of a complete, body-off restoration to original color scheme of Polaris Blue over a blue and white leather interior. Power top. It has a 327ci straight-8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission.
