Details
This chopped custom 1951 Ford 2-door convertible is powered by a Ford 5.0-liter HO V8 engine paired with a Ford 4-speed transmission. This '51 Ford received a frame-off, bare metal, rotisserie restoration and complete customization. The top was chopped 2½ inches and a custom top was handmade by legendary hot rod builder Bill Heinse. The body was customized front to back including all stock trim removed and custom handmade trim was added. It has 1955 Oldsmobile head lights, 1950 Mercury grille opening with a shortened 1955 Desoto grille, 1951 Pontiac flush mounted taillights and 1951 Mercury fender skirts. It has a professional paint job by Squeeg's Kustoms and it is painted in Renate Blue Pearl over Hot Rod Cream. It is powered by a Ford 302 backed by a Ford AOD Transmission and 4-wheel disc brakes. Other upgrades include air conditioning, rack and pinion steering, custom bucked seats and center console, Flaming River steering column and upgrade gauges.
