Details

This no-expense spared custom 1951 Ford Country Squire Woody is powered by a 351ci V8 engine paired to a Bowler 4R70W 4-speed automatic transmission with a Ford 9-inch rear end. The Ford Windsor V8 has been upgraded with a Holley Sniper fuel-injection system, March Performance billet aluminum serpentine pulley and a Summit Racing air cleaner. This custom Woody sits on a powder-coated black Art Morrison frame and features a 4-link suspension, Strange axles and JRI coilovers. This custom rides on

Z-rated 16-inch custom wide whitewall tires wrapped around a set of red powdered wheels with new hubcaps. Braking power is provided by a set of Wilwood disc brakes, and the Windsor V8 is fed by a new stainless fuel tank. The exterior paint is finished in Dark Green Metallic from a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS. The bodywork was completed by Midwest Rod & Custom of Lake Park, MN. The wood is maple and mahogany and is stained and varnished with Spar varnish. The wood came in a raw state and was sanded and fitted by Rick Mack of Fife, WA. The interior is tan, brown and green and the carpet is a Daytona Weave. The seats, door panels and headliner are all done in a contrasting tan and brown leather with a touch of vinyl. The work was performed by Huston Pierce of Pierce'N Customs of Pelican Rapids, MN. Featuring power steering and power brakes, the Woody's stainless trim has been strategically inserted into the door panels to complement the stainless dash. The original gauges are in the cluster, but the speedometer reads high. Both the fuel gauge and volts gauges work. The steering wheel is hand-painted. The '51 Woody has a Lokar shifter on the floor. The stereo is mounted in the dash and has a subwoofer. The Woody has been featured in numerous magazines, including as the cover car on the January 2019 issue of National Woodie Times as well as in the November and December 2018 issues as a build story. Additionally, the Woody was autographed by the 2018 Miss America and Miss North Dakota.
