This 1949 Chevy 3100 stepside pickup received a complete restoration and the Pro-Touring Resto-Mod build was completed in Fall 2021. Power comes from a new LS3 V8 crate engine with 465hp fitted with a Holley Hi-Ram intake manifold, Holley EFI fuel-rail system and powder-coated headers. The engine is paired with a new 4L65E 4-speed automatic transmission connected to a Ford 9-inch limited-slip differential housing 3.73 gears. Equipped with a MagnaFlow side-exit exhaust, Wilwood power brakes with
chrome calipers and drilled and slotted rotors, an electric emergency brake, American Autowire harness, and gas tank from Rick's Tank. Sitting on an Art Morrison chassis fitted with adjustable coilover suspension at all four corners with power rack & pinion steering and a 4-link rear-end. The exterior features a one-piece windshield, custom side mirrors, frenched-in headlights and a smoothed firewall; it is finished in 2019 Ford Magnetic Gray paint complemented with a wood bed. The custom leather bench seat interior is highlighted with red French stitching and modern conveniences including power windows, Vintage Air climate-control system, Dakota Digital instrumentation, Flaming River tilt column with Lecarra steering wheel, electric push-button start and a Vintage radio with Bluetooth and Pioneer speakers. This custom pickup rides on 18-inch custom Foose wheels wrapped in Falken tires.
