This custom 1949 Autocar C-50 Rat Rod is powered by a Ford New Holland 7.8-liter diesel engine paired with an Allison automatic transmission, an Eaton differential and Series 6 gears. It started life as an Autocar commercial truck and was featured in Season 2, Episode 6 of Danny Koker's TV show 'Ultimate Rides.' It features dual tugboat airhorns mounted on the roof and powered by an engine-driven Bendix air compressor. This custom Rat Rod rides on aluminum wheels wrapped in 53-inch Michelin military tires and has stopping power provided by heavy-duty air brakes, also driven by the Bendix air compressor. Inside this Rat Rod are adjustable seats from a 1958 Lockheed Neptune submarine bomber, as well as gauges that include a tachometer, speedometer, water temperature, voltage, oil pressure, boost, air and fuel pressure.
