This 1948 Mercury 89M 4-door station wagon has been fully restored. It is from the famed Nick Alexander Woody Collection in California. It is powered by a 255ci V8 engine mated to a 3-speed transmission with a Columbia rear end. This wagon is finished in Taffy Tan with its original red leather interior and original hand-selected bird's-eye maple wood. It is equipped with a new radiator, new carburetor and a custom dual exhaust. This vehicle is from the final year for Mercury's 4-door 'true' woody wagon. Of 50,234 1948 Mercurys, only 1,889 were wagons. 70,782 miles (the title reads mileage exempt). From the Boyd Collection.
