Details
This all-steel-bodied 1940 Ford Deluxe convertible has been in the same family for 49 years and the car has always been garage-kept. It is equipped with a Flathead Ford engine that has a fresh set of rebuilt carburetors with an Offenhauser head and lots of upgrades, like the ignition system and the fuel system; all has been gone through. The 3-speed manual transmission is controlled by a column-mounted shifter with an 11-inch clutch. The car has its original wheels and hubcaps, as well as the trim rings wrapped in whitewall tires for the era-correct look, set behind the original fender skirts. The interior features a two-tone dash in maroon and tan, housing an instrument cluster with fuel, oil, temp and battery gauges. The exterior tan top accents the black paint; this is an older restoration. In addition, this car features brightwork on the bumpers, side trim, headlight and taillight bezels, front grille and hood trim.
