1939 was the first year of Mercury. It was created by Edsel Ford, son of Henry Ford, to make entry-level luxury cars slotted between Ford-branded regular models and Lincoln-branded luxury vehicles. There were a very limited number of Club Convertibles produced. This is a gorgeous car in impeccable shape. The Flathead-8 has been replaced by a Chevrolet 350ci and automatic transmission that is quiet. The car runs and drives like a champ. It's reliable, fully functional and drivable vehicle. The body and new paint are great with a new leather interior that is stunning. All chrome and stainless are outstanding. The underside of the car is painted with nice chrome and stainless-steel accents. It also has an original steel body and fenders. This is a fresh, professionally rebuilt car with only the best parts available. It's equipped with custom modified stock frame rails featuring tube A-arms in front and 4-link setup in the rear, coilover shocks all around, a Ford 9' rear and 4-wheel disc brakes. It has a full custom leather interior, power steering, power window, power antenna and air conditioning. The 17' front wheels and 20' rear wheels are tucked-in and just-right. This car starts at the touch of the key and runs and drives as good as it looks.
