Description

Built to show standards for Dick Long by Creative Concepts in Santa Rosa, CA, this hand-crafted, all-steel '37 Ford maintains its 1930s Art Deco design with the body totally re-engineered and expertly wedge-sectioned for a longer, lower, sleeker look. The scratch-built grille was professionally fabricated from individual rectangular brass bars, milled and bent into an arc. House of Kolor True Blue Pearl and DuPont Black two-tone paint maximizes the reworked body. The chassis was custom-built with stainless Kugel independent suspension, Wilwood front disc brakes and Corvette rear discs. The polished and chromed GM LS1 5.7-liter V8 engine is upgraded with a Lingenfelter intake, custom coil packs, a reworked intake with custom air filter covers and custom stainless exhaust. A GM 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission delivers the power. The interior features one-of-a-kind console, dash and door caps made from Fiddleback Maple and exotic African Wenge lumber. The custom saddle leather upholstery was expertly trimmed by Sid Chavers. Amenities include Classic Instruments gauges and Vintage Air heat and air conditioning, plus an Alpine audio system, Mullins steering column and Budnik custom wheel. Other details include handcrafted bronze-cast, chrome-plated bumpers and a convertible top secured with recessed retaining buttons. The top frame and hardware were chopped and reengineered using original Chrysler LeBaron items, and the convertible top boot is constructed of metal from three individual pieces, fitting inside the remote-release trunk. Designed and built with no expense spared, the cabriolet debuted at Oakland, CA's Grand National Roaster Show, where Creative Concepts won Builder of the Year. **SOLD ON BONDED TITLE** **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
