Style 37-8509-F Formal Sedan on the V12 chassis. 1937 was the last year for Cadillac's smooth, quiet, powerful V12 engine. This example has the sloped-back passenger compartment. Fitted with a rollup division window, jump seats, smoker's kits, rear window shade, enclosed side mount spares with mirrors, Appleton fog lights, hubcaps, trim rings, wide white wall tires, heater, clock and radio. It has a blind rear quarters in the formal roof design with pivoting vent windows in the back of the rear side windows. A CCCA Senior National First Prize winning restoration, it was once owned by a television industry screenwriter who thoughtfully featured it in the CBS series The Munsters, as Herman Munster's car. Indicative of its careful preservation, it comes with a full service manual, original tool roll, copy of the Cadillac Build Sheet, owner's correspondence as well as a season one DVD and promotional stills from The Munsters. A unique example of Fleetwood coachwork on the Cadillac V12 chassis, it has an equally unique and colorful history. A gorgeous restoration and exceptional preservation in the care of sympathetic owners.
