Description
This double-door, extended-length panel truck was professionally restored years ago and was formerly used by actor Steve McQueen. The Petersen Automotive Museum specifically outfitted it to serve as a 'museum on wheels' public outreach vehicle for many years and was driven around to schools in the greater Los Angeles area. It has double doors with original wood sides and bed floor. The rear doors swing open also. It has power brakes and has been upgraded to a 12-volt system with an alternator. A large custom-made aluminum fuel tank was professionally fabricated and installed for longer hauls. It’s powered by a Flathead V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission.
