This 1932 Plymouth coupe was the pride and joy of Walter P. Chrysler. The PA series was a highly advanced automobile for its time and it set new standards for the low-priced field. the cutting edge of automobile development and testing, Louis Miller, a San Francisco Chrysler-Plymouth salesman, drove a PA from San Francisco to New York in 65 hours, 23 minutes. Following a layover of only 75 minutes, Miller and his relief driver turned around and started their return trip. This was an amazing accomplishment to say the least and in the end Chrysler gained great reputation for new and fresh ideas. The engine in this 1932 Plymouth is the same one that covered 6,287 miles nonstop from San Francisco to New York and back. This particular 1932 Plymouth coupe with dual side mounts and rumble seat, also has a burgundy interior with factory colors for the headliner. As for the history of this 1932 Plymouth coupe, a Mrs. Joyce V. Jenkins sold the car in 1969 to Ted Hartman. Ted began a complete restoration. When the restoration was complete, Ted began showing the car in numerous locations from 1975 onward.
