Built at Hot Rods by Boyd. This car was owned by Dick Brogdon, who was the shop manager at Hot Rods by Boyd for 15 years, Boyd Coddington's right-hand man and close friend. This car was originally owned by Boyd Coddington. Dick purchased the car from Boyd in 1987. The car was built at Boyd's shop over a span of 20 years with countless hours invested, and worked on by many big names in the industry at Hot Rods by Boyd. Extreme attention to detail throughout. 50 miles since completed. This started as a real, rust-free, California 1932 Ford roadster, with original fenders, doors and body panels. It now rides on a Boyd chassis on original 1932 Ford rails. Features front and rear independent suspension with custom-built Forged Billet suspension components, as well as 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes, a ZZ3 5.7-liter crate engine with a Street & Performance fuel-injection system and a new 700R4 crate transmission. Hood, hood sides, cowl, running boards and firewall were done by Marcel De Ley of Marcel's Custom Metal. One-off custom-built windshield post by Chip Foose. Hidden door hinged by Roy Schmidt. Custom-built recessed dash panel by Mike Curtis. Leather interior by Gabe Lopez. Full custom-built polished stainless-steel exhaust system. Brass Works German silver radiator. Custom-built stainless grille, reshaped fenders, tons of custom metalwork throughout. Extremely detailed chassis and undercarriage. Stunning Boyd Red paint over impeccable bodywork. Countless hours have gone into this build.
