Built by Boyd Coddington, the Boydsters were designed by Chip Foose and modeled after the 1932 Ford Roadster. Boyd contracted Deuce Customs in Melbourne, Australia, to construct the steel reinforced bodies. They produced 21 of the Boydster II bodies; 12 were built with fenders and nine were built as Hi-Boys. The chassis and suspensions were custom-designed and built by Boyd. This Boydster II was assembled and built (including the drivetrain) in Boyd's shop in Southern California using a Boyd Coddington Pro-Ride Stage Ill chassis and suspension. It is powered by a Street Performance LS1 V8 new aluminum crate engine with multi-port fuel injection, chrome air intake and hardware, custom ceramic-coated dual exhaust with stainless single-tip rear exit and MagnaFlow mufflers, aluminum radiator with electric cooling fan, braided fuel lines, custom body color/flame matching engine and ignition coil covers paired with an electronically controlled 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission. It has a chrome driveshaft and a Boyd Coddington 3.73 ratio independent rear end. This car is riding on a complete Boyd Coddington Boydster II Pro-Ride Stage Ill chassis, fully boxed and show-quality-finished in body color Brilliant Silver, fully polished independent front, fully polished Jag-style rear suspension, 2024 billet spindles, chrome coilover shocks, rack & pinion steering, new/updated 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes with polished calipers and drilled/slotted rotors (original Boyd take-offs included). It features a hidden under-dash master cylinder, braided lines and polished stainless hardware. The Boyd Coddington Boydster II roadster has a fiberglass body and fenders (limited production). It is finished in a metallic basecoat/clearcoat, Brilliant Silver and Cobalt Blue with heavy metal flake in all three colors. The vibrant green flames flow throughout the interior areas and also feature subtle ghost flames around the green flames, which were all done by Boitnott's Custom Body & Paint shop. The front end has 3M vinyl paint protection, and the exterior has subtle pinstriping, suicide doors, a three-piece smooth hood and hood-side heat ports, remote access hood/doors/trunk, halogen headlamps, hidden front turn signals and flush-width LED taillights. This roadster rides on 15- and 17-inch Boyd Coddington Magneato polished billet wheels. The high-end Silver Oyster Shell leather interior was completed by Bob Lyons of Brookville. It features silver carpet, custom center-flow full-length console with body-matched color and flames, polished billet push-button shifter, chrome-trimmed foot pedals, flip CD player with hidden speakers, polished tilt steering column, Boyds gauges by Classic Instruments and a matching Magneato billet steering wheel. This no-expense-spared Boyd Coddington Boydster II was specifically designed to showcase at the SEMA event in Las Vegas, NV.
