1931 CHEVROLET HUCKSTER TRUCK

This 1931 Chevrolet Huckster is a half-ton pickup powered by a straight-6 engine. It was purchased (unrestored) with boxes of unidentified miscellaneous parts in 1993 at a small used car and truck lot in Gettysburg, PA. No history was provided. It was trucked to a shop in Baltimore, MA, which reportedly had previously won a national AACA championship. Over 5 years, the truck was totally torn down and restored part by part. The complete file (unsorted) of the restoration work, including the source and costs of parts (like white oak) and labor comes with the truck. Upon completion of the restoration the restorer, with the owner's consent, entered the truck in AACA competitions, leading to a national championship in the junior division in 1998, receiving 987 points. The award medal, trophy, plaque and judging form are all available with the truck. It has not been shown in competition again. Following restoration and competition showings, the truck was transported to the owner in Breckenridge, CO, where for years it was exhibited in a Chevrolet dealership showroom and garaged. Its only public appearances were in periodic parades. When the owner moved, the truck was transported to Denver, CO, and garaged full time, except for periodic maintenance.

Powered by a straight-6 engine. Purchased unrestored in 1993 and, after total restoration, including engine rebuild, it won National First Prize AACA, junior division in 1998. Garaged since.
