This 1908 Ford Model T Touring is the earliest restored Model T known to exist. Bearing serial number 90, it stands at the foot of a trail of 15 million Model Ts eventually produced by Ford in the next 19 years. As one of the first 800 Model Ts made, it's a so-called 'two lever car,' meaning it has two levers on the left floorboard, two pedals on the floor and two levers (for spark and throttle) in the steering column. Cars built after unit 800 were reconfigured with the Flivver's famous

three-pedal/one-lever layout. This car has been meticulously restored and won a People's Choice award at the Meadowbrook Concours. This car was also selected — along with 59 other landmark cars from all over the country — to participate in a special Meadowbrook event celebrating 100 Years of the Automobile. Plentiful polished brass surfaces on the radiator, running lamps, bulb horn, wheel hubs and acetylene unit strike a delicious contrast to the bright red paint. These early Model Ts are so unique they are generally considered an exclusive and extremely desirable breed among Model T historians and collectors.
