Description

Summary

Professionally mechanically and cosmetically restored with original paint left intact. Powered by a 292ci V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. Runs and drives well; maintenance complete and up to date.

Details

This 1963 Ford F-100 has been professionally fitted with new kingpins, rear leaf spring bushings, valve cover gaskets and a new oil pan gasket, as well as new rear axle oil and a rear axle housing gasket. The wheels were also repainted and fitted with new tires and coil helper springs added to the rear axle. This F-100 comes with original owner's manual, service manual, period dealer materials and a handwritten maintenance log kept by the previous owner. The deluxe trim extends the full length

of the truck complementing the original Rangoon Red paint. The finish shows some chips, scratches and other minor defects as expected of a survivor vehicle. A period-correct GEM aluminum shell is included, and features camper-style 'jealousy' side windows. All of the lights on the shell are in working order. Per the original owner, the shell has been with the truck since it was new. The interior of the pickup bed is finished in matte gray paint, and a bed-mounted spare is included. Inside the cab, the bench seat has been reupholstered in black and white vinyl and a single-DIN stereo was installed in the dash using a pre-existing opening. The shift knob shows a small crack. The 292ci V8 engine is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and was rebuilt around 1996-97. The engine has been modified with a 4v Edelbrock carburetor on a 292 4v intake manifold from a 1957 Thunderbird. The stock air cleaner is still in place, while the valve cover, oil pan gaskets, transmission side cover gasket, transmission rear seal, transmission oil and side cover gaskets have been replaced. The truck is equipped with solid lifters, and the previous owner performed a valve adjustment, changed the oil in the rear end, as well as the rear-end housing gasket. The brakes have been replaced within the last two years, including the drums.
