Details
This 1971 Porsche 911T RSR re-creation underwent a recent complete engine-out, top-end rebuild by marque specialists and is powered by a 6-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was built to replicate the Gulf-Porsche RSR and is finished in Gulf Racing Blue with an orange stripe over a black interior. The Porsche RSR made its debut in the FIA Group 4 racing circuit in 1973. Developed from the Carrera RS, the RSR featured an enlarged 2.8-liter engine that was reportedly good for 400hp. Special-fabricated widened body panels provided space for wider wheels, allowing the RSR to reach speeds over 170 mph. With only 49 Carrera RSRs built, the RSR is considered one of Porsche's most dominant race cars of the 1970s, with seven German racing wins and three international wins in its first year of competition.
