It was the recipient of a full, frame-off restoration that was built, custom painted and modified by Born Vintage in Bakersfield, CA. This award-winning C10 features a powder-coated factory GM chassis completely boxed with Porterbuilt front and rear suspension, a custom machined billet grille, headlight bezels, Chevrolet logo in the grille face, hood hinges, exhaust tips by EVOD Industries, custom-machined hood hinges, Ringbrothers door handles, billet gauge bezel and glove box, and custom tucked and shaved bumpers with plating completed by Ogden Chrome. Additional custom features include a handmade raised-up sheet-metal bed floor, wide wheel tubs, engine bay, firewall, inner fenders, hood structure and radiator cover, and the rear of bedsides was extended to be level with the rest of the bed and flush with bumpers. It also features a Boyd aluminum fuel cell with internal Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump. The exterior features J.W. Speaker LED headlights and Marquez Design one-piece taillights with LED sequential lights. It is also equipped with a Wegner automotive front serpentine drive system, Currie fabricated 9-inch rear end housing, 35-spline Currie axles and a Strange 9-inch aluminum center section with a 3.73 rear gear. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood 14-inch drilled and slotted brakes on the front and rear, with front 6-piston and rear 4-piston calipers. It rides on Forgeline DE3C wheels with polished lip and Satin Bronze face with 20x8-inch front wheels with 255/40R20 Michelin Pilot Sport tires and 20x12.5-inch rear wheels with 345/35R20 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The full custom upholstery by Ron Mangus is complemented by Restomod Air, Dakota Digital gauges, Ididit tilt steering column, Sparc billet steering wheel, Lokar sport shifter and brake pedal, and a full sound system with Kicker components. Accolades for this pickup include gracing the cover of Truck Hub and Classic Truck magazines.
