This 1956 Ford F-100 big-window custom pickup was built by Squeeg's Kustoms and is powered by a Ford Racing 514ci stroker big-block V8 engine with Cobra Jet ported and polished heads and an individual throttle-body EFI system. The engine is backed by a polished C6 3-speed automatic transmission. This truck was built on a Kugel chassis with custom billet independent rear suspension around a Ford 9-inch rear center section and Jaguar-style independent rear suspension. Additional details of the engine include a Weber induction delivering EFI performance with systems capable of supporting high horsepower. The fuel and air are delivered through precision cast-aluminum 50mm IDA-style throttle-bodies that allow for idle characteristics and throttle response while improving emissions and economy through tight air/fuel ratio control. The linkage set incorporates the throttle stops, idle controls, lever arms and joiner/balancer all in one. It also features a single screw adjustment for calibrating front-to-rear throttle shafts. The bell crank has a fully indexable eccentric cable pulley that enables slow-speed drivability and still attains full-throttle geometry. Throttle-body features include CNC-machined, heat-treated 601-cast aluminum, while butterflies are measured for each bore, precision-machined to a closer tolerance, and are secured to centerless ground-brass shafts with split-screws to ensure reliability and serviceability. The operating system is a Holley Terminator X, while fuel delivery and sensors are Holley EFI performance parts. The tune is set up as a VE/Alpha combination (the VE tune is self-learning). The distributor is a Holley Dual-Sync and gives the fuel management system readings of crank and cam position, with full control of timing advancing. The tune is set up for daily driving and can be modified for track with understanding of Holley's Terminator X tuning software. Headers were fabricated by Chauvin Emmons and John Nickel. A remote dual vacuum booster with an electric vacuum pump has been installed to give the truck a comfortable braking system. It also features a highly detailed engine bay and underside with many stainless and chrome parts. Bodywork includes a hand-fabricated bumper, plated grille by John Wright and a nosed hood with rounded corners. The top has been angle-chopped, drip rails relieved, rounded door corners, narrowed stock running boards, rear fenders slightly widened at the rear, and the bed shortened by 6 inches to accommodate the front wheel openings being moved forward. The custom interior detailing includes buckskin leather with ostrich inserts and the dash extended into the doors with added engine-turned inserts. Additional interior features include a Vintage Air system, power windows, and Ididit, Lokar and Stewart-Warner amenities. This pickup was on the cover and in a feature in Classic Trucks magazine, and also garnered an invite from Ford Motor Company to be displayed in their 2004 SEMA Show booth.
