This Pininfarina-designed 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena is powered by a mid-mounted 3.6-liter 395hp twin-cam V8 engine employing a flat-plane crankshaft, five valves per cylinder (three intake, two exhaust), titanium connecting rods, and variable intake geometry and valve timing, backed by a 6-speed manual transmission. This car, named after Enzo Ferrari's birthplace, replaced the F355, Ferrari's most successful production model at over 11,000 units. The 360 marked a new direction for Ferrari, emphasizing reduced weight and improved chassis rigidity. To achieve this, Ferrari collaborated with aluminum manufacturer Alcoa to create a spaceframe chassis that was 28% lighter and 40% stiffer than the F355's steel frame, while also accommodating more interior space. The all-aluminum body, designed by Pininfarina and built by Ferrari subsidiary Scaglietti, offered sleek aerodynamics inspired by Formula 1, providing high downforce. It also features an aluminum chassis and is finished in a color combination of Blu Tour de France Metallic exterior with a contrasting Cuoio leather interior. Specifications include power adjustable mirrors, leather-trimmed dash and headliner, and a Kenwood stereo. The leather interior includes form-fitting bucket seats, round gauges and vents, a 3-spoke steering wheel, and a polished alloy gate-patterned shifter.
