Details

This custom 1986 Chevrolet C30 dually crew-cab pickup is powered by the original 454ci V8 engine mated to an original Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine breathes through Hooker long-tube headers and a custom 2.5-inch exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers that terminate under the rear bumper. The pickup features the original Dana 70 rear end with 4.10 gears. The rear axle has been flipped with the Tinworks kit for an 8-inch total drop. The front has been lowered on Belltech 3-inch lowering springs and drop spindles, with Air Lift remote-control helper bags in the rear for towing/hauling. However, the factory ride height can easily be restored with a few hours of time and some OEM parts, if desired. New Belltech shocks were installed on all four corners. This pickup is finished in a two-tone repaint that was taken down to bare metal a few short years ago. It rides on 22-inch Michaels Truck Works wheels, cut specifically for this ride, with billet center caps and billet threaded lug nut covers. The exterior features LED headlights and a Truxedo bed cover. The custom interior was sewn by Eric Roden at the Thread Shed and features a RetroSound Bluetooth-enabled stereo head unit connected to a Pioneer 5-channel amplifier, Ground Zero speakers and Ground Zero 10-inch subwoofers installed behind the rear seat. This pickup was featured in the March 2023 issue of CK Truck magazine, has been shown many times and completed the Hot Rod magazine Power Tour Long Haul in 2021 and 2023.
