Details
This Batmobile re-creation is inspired by the original Batmobile featured in the 1966 TV Series, \"Batman.\" The fiberglass body was the first produced by Batrodz Gotham Roadsters in Long Island, NY. It was hand-sculpted from a 1955 Lincoln Futura, just as George Baris did for the TV car. The donor car used was a 1979 Lincoln Continental coupe. The Lincoln factory drivetrain is powered by a 400ci V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The exterior features an open cockpit decorated with round windshields and is finished in black basecoat/clearcoat paint. The undercarriage is also painted Gloss Black. This car also has power steering, power front disc brakes and all functioning gauges. This Batmobile showcases many TV car features, like the Batscope, Batphone, functioning lights and switches, custom steering wheel and the working flashing light on top.
