This 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is powered by a 455-HO with SR block mated to a Muncie M21 transmission and 3.42 Safe-T-Track differential. This vehicle has undergone a fully documented 1,200-hour complete, nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration, and great attention was taken to ensure a correct, concours-ready restoration. Every single component and system have been restored, rebuilt or replaced, using either NOS or top-quality restoration components throughout. The body was stripped to bare metal and finished in Lucerne Blue. The blue deluxe interior features new complete upholstery, headliner, carpet, sill plates, weatherstrips and rubber seals, along with a new windshield and tinted side and rear glass. It is equipped with new wiring harnesses, battery cables, switches, along with new brake and fuel lines, fuel tank, sending unit, straps, hardware. It also features new body mounts, bushings and hardware, as well as new brakes, steering and suspension components, including new steering linkage, tie rods, bushings, ball joint and tie-rod sleeves. This Firebird is one of 2,116 from total production for the model year, and one of 289 imported to Canada. It was sold new by Marvin Starr Pontiac in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. GM of Canada Historical Documentation is included in the sale. This Trans Am has been driven less than 50 shakedown miles since it was restored.
