Details
This 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 429 is one of six C-code Super Cobra Jet cars ever built and is one of six ordered without Ram Air. It was restored with original parts. The "Drag Pack" option, which added components for better drag racing performance, including a stiffer suspension and higher rear-axle ratio, all contributing to increased horsepower and torque compared to a standard Cobra Jet, included 429ci Super Cobra Jet engine, which includes upgrades like a solid-lifter camshaft, adjustable rocker arms, a larger Holley carburetor, heavier-duty connecting rods and a modified crankshaft, backed by a 4-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter, down to a 3.91 Traction-Lok differential. It also features a Mach 1 sports interior, Instrumentation Group, power steering and disc brakes.
