Details
This four-wheel-drive 1971 Chevrolet K10 Cheyenne Super short-bed custom pickup built by JPs Customs wears Build Badge No. 28. This K10 has undergone a full rotisserie restoration, starting off with a Roadster Shop RS4 chassis and the powertrain boasting a ZZ 632ci GM Performance big-block crate engine that pushes out 1,004hp with 876 ft/lbs of torque on pump gas, backed by a built 4L80E Hughes Performance transmission and a billet 2-speed Atlas transfer case, Tom Wood's driveshafts and Currie axles. The engine features a custom-built set of headers from Stainless Works and a full 3-inch mandrel-bent Borla exhaust system. It also features a high-end design on the engine bay with a completely smooth firewall with hidden wiring and core support bolt deletes. The RS4 chassis is built to perform and engineered with the latest technology. It has four long-travel Fox coilover shocks with 4-link suspension front and rear. Stopping is courtesy of a hydro-boost-assisted brake system and large Baer RS4 brakes on all four corners. The chassis has been coated in Charcoal Gray Cerakote satin finish. The body has been professionally restored and painted on a rotisserie in a traditional two-tone Jet Black and Linen White with upper and lower wood-grain moldings. The paint is a basecoat/clearcoat process and has been wet-block-sanded by hand and polished out to a show-quality finish. The bed floor features a high-end Dark Walnut stain and Satin Clear finish with boltless polished strips. The fuel tank is no longer in the cab and now fuel is filled behind the taillight with a LS Fab Easy Fill. Overall. The restoration was performed using all-new smoked glass, weatherstripping, felts, rubbers, trim, brightwork and high-end fasteners. Featuring soft-closing doors updated with Trique Altman latches, the high-end interior has been enhanced with buddy bucket seating with optional third-middle seat/console. The upholstery is a high-grain material with French seams, and it has a custom Chocolate suede-wrapped roof and headliner. The wood-grain dash and door panels tie in with the “Cheyenne Super” options. For creature comforts, there is a tilt column with a half-wrapped Billet Specialties wheel, Dakota Digital gauges, column shifter and a retro stereo with hidden speakers in lower kick plates in the doors. The cabin is heated and cooled with Vintage Air system, the latest Gen V model that blows through Restomod Air vents. The cab floor and firewall were sprayed in a brown Raptor Liner, then lined with a layer of Kilmat, both for sound-deadening and heat transfer. The custom-tailored carpet is German square-weave from Relicate Leather and also has custom floor mats with heel pad. The bucket seats fold forward for access to a couple of stowage compartments. **TITLED AS 1971 CHEV K20**
